Co-Axial Movement

Just how much of an improvement is the Co-Ax really compared to the 1120? I own two Omegas, an AT and an Electric Blue SMP. I prefer the SMP and funnily enough,it is more accurate on the wrist on a day-to-day basis.
According to some technical articles I've read on the Co-Ax, it is complex and one wonders about long-time reliability and whether the ten year service interval will in fact be possible.
Price is another matter: the Co-Ax almost doubles the price of any previously 1120 powered model.
I have a feeling that if Omega persist with the plan to switch to the Co-Ax across the board for the SMP (apparently a dead cert) they are going to lose customers because the excellent value for money in a yet still superior watch factor will be lost, something for which the brand has become famous for and has attracted many loyal supporters.
