Boy - talk about kismet. I've been going over this forum looking for the same advice. I have a Seamaster DeVille circa 1979 that I received as a gift. It hasn't worked in many years. Took it down to the service center in Philadelphia years ago and they said it couldn't be fixed because the battery for that caliber (1342) wasn't made any more. I just dropped it off at the Swatch service center in Secaucus NJ
and they gave me a quote of $582.40 to restore it.
- Complete Maint. Svc. $290
- Allig. Balck 18 X 16 $195 (that gets me)
- Buckle $25
- Restore hands $30
- Tax & Postage $42.40

Advice and opinions are greatly appreciated.
