For the answer to the NUMBER #1 most frequently asked question here--for details or value of a specific older Omega watch you have--go to: Tell Me About My Omega. | Learn more about How To Include Photos and HTML In Your Postings. | To contact someone with a question not relevant to other readers of the forum, please click on their email address and contact them privately. |
It was released in 2004 to commemorate Omega's involvement in the 1948 Olympics, when it timed the Bob Sled event. They are specific models; 4842.20.32 - Full Size, 4873.20.32 - 35mm. It has the white dial and 18k RG hands, markers and logo. I don't believe it's available on the bracelet, though you could pony up a small fortune for it. It's been said that the markers are gold plated, but I confirmed with Omega that they are solid. Omega doesn't plate.
The version I got was the 35mm version, for my Wife (and she loves it). If you notice the Omega catalog picture shows smaller minute numbers at 15, 30, and 45 on the Seconds Sub-Dial and 5, 15, and 25 on the Minute Totalizer. These appear on the larger versions of the Co-Axial Chronograph, but not on the 35mm version.
