re My earlier reference to the Sea-Dweller, I was talking to a technical guy about the depth spec (4000 meters) of that, and he said the reason the date bubble had to be removed was because it popped off at greater depths. So, maybe that's how they do it: Just dive down to a depth where it pops off!
