Just realized that 1108 is actually the same as 1109, just that 1108 is not chronometer tested. My seamaster 120 (w/ 1109) was performing pretty well before I traded for another watch.
My impression is that 1120 has some obvious modifications. The rotor shape is different, also the power reserve is longer.
