The older 2298.80 was the watch I wanted the most after my 2296.80 crashed and buned, and by the time I got around to looking for one a year and a half ago they were all gone in the US. I loved the look of the 9 link bracelet and the Blue Wave dial, but there were just none left to find. Last June I DID stumble acrooss one in a watch shop in Goteborg, Sweden, but by then I had my 2293.50 and the price in Sweden wasn't all that good either. If you find any online, they are probably used, and I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole.
