: I own a 2254.50 and love it very much. You
: might consider its quartz version, the
: 2264.50, or the Bond 2541.80. If you go with
: the Bond model, just remember that the laser
: cutter in the bezel triangle marker is not
: an option on versions of this watch
: available to the general public.
Yeah, too bad the Bond SMP doesn't come with those added features. The laser would be a must for creating fires in the blink of an eye (or you could use the bezel detonator to create much bon fires), the grappling hook could come in handy if hungery animals come looking for you, and the integrated emergency torch would definately help in dark situations.
Nonetheless, I think the Bond SMP would fit your needs CFM. The black SMP (2254.50) is probably the best choice though, because it has a lot more visibility. But whatever you choose, just remember you can't go wrong with an Omega!
But like John said, when you realize that you're falling under hypothermia, don't just sit there and start ratcheting the bezel all day long hoping for something to happen.....
