Well, with fear and trepidation I awaited the approach of midnight last night to see whether the date would roll over to March 2nd.
Thankfully, somewhere between 11:55 and 11:58 the date must've rolled over.
(I was reading a book and checking every few minutes to see if I had in fact screwed up the mechanism the night before when I had my "oops moment" and set the calendar function during the "forbidden" hours. I missed the actual moment of the change but am quite pleased that nothing appears to be amiss.)
