When I decided to buy an automatic watch which would last a lifetime, I wasn't preparred to do much research. I had to have a Rolex. Rolex was the only good watch made, right? Got on the Rolex page and BAM, Rolesium Yachtmaster was what I had to have. Called my local Rolex dealer expecting to pick one up the next day for a couple of grand. Sorry Charlie. 6800.00 retail, 9 K premium, and who knows when I can get one. Submariner is nice but I want a light colored face. So I decided to see what other kind of watches were out there. Northerntime.com got me started. I found my way onto timezone, watchzone, and others. What are all these other strange watch names. IWC, Patek Philippe, Omega, Breitling, etc.? All seemed good. I started reading forums for opinions. Found a post regarding a magazine called Watchtime. Submariner vs. Seamaster Pro. It seems Seamaster Pro held it's own or better. Went to the Omega website and looked at all the models. Very nice. James Bond wears one but I need more information. After reading countless posts on these different forums, solidifying my interest in Omega, all of the sudden, a post about Omega fakes and a link. www.dziglar.com/zowie. All the information I could possibly ask for about Omega. No need to look any further. As of about 2 weeks ago I am the proud owner of a SMP 300 (2552.20). I'm not interested in resale. I don't care who knows I wear an Omega. I know and I'll have it until I decide to give it to my son. Don't worry, I'll have a Speedmaster by then, and probably another SM.

Just wanted to say that I appreciate the work that has gone into this site and I enjoy raeding the forum daily. Thanks to Derek and all those who have contributed.
