In Response To: My 2 cents worth here. ()

Hi

Who do I trust myself, my own eyes and my own judgement but also someone who is a very longtime a watchmaker/retailer and who open the watch in front of me and who know brands very well.
When Omega did the repair it should have double checked if the watch was really an authentic some fake made of various parts and not original.
Omega made a certificate but doesn't pardon this kind of mistake for a company like Omega.
The seller may have a huge ebay feedback but can you really trust what you see on the bay and what is the thing in reality? That is the question. Jeweller is not a watchmaker, they just resell watches that are repaired not by themselves and with what happened here it leads me to the conclusion that they were not very professional. Guenine delaer with false certificate is a bad thing.
Ok he has ebay feedback 5000 and how years is he selling watches? five years? He doesn't repair and sell watches like some true experienced watchmaker who probably does his job since over 15 years so I can't compare a watchmaker who is very long time in the watch business and some so called professional who just sell watches online since 5 years. The watchmaker gives you a true after sales service, not the case of the bay. The words after sale service are something to forget on ebay.
Mr Miranda and Mr Richon are indeed very knowledgeable.I met them in Paris in 2004.
Not every watchmaker can know every model that is true but yopu give a watch to Omeka you are in the right to have a first class restoration.

just my honest views

regards

georges
