Bottom line at the top: I have found the BA to be a beautiful, robust, and very accurate watch.

I have worn the BA consistently for only the last 2 1/2 years. I have used the chronograph regularly, including over a period of several days at a time but have not kept it on all of the time. I've always felt that it wasn't such a good idea to do that.

Power reserve seems unaffected --it's about the 55 hours Omega literature claims it is whether the chronograph is running or not.

BTW, as daily wearer, I have tried not to abuse the watch, but I don't baby it either. My BA has had its share of inadvertent shocks. My example usually runs maybe .5 seconds fast every 3 days or so. It took about a year for this to settle in. I store it crown down which seems to slow the daily gain a little...but it's hard to say. The time gain is so miniscule anyway, and I've always read a free spring balance isn't very susceptible to positional change.
