This is just a bold guess, but how about this, Omega calls the next Cal. 1045 watch in the cue the Mark V (the one in your 1977 manual), realizes in the 80's it never designated a watch officially as the Mark V, and decides to make the Teutonic 1045 the official "Mark V." Who knows. A question to Omega might clear this up. I'm very interested to know their answer on this point. But great food for thought. Thanks Steve!
