Upset? nah...

I obviously can't speak for Chuck but, if I were more recognizable around here and, had I cared a little more, I may have posted a similar response. And, it wouldn't have been because I'm "upset" with you. However, I do think you present a certain tone that some mind find a bit...thick.
I've made my case regarding what I feel was a rather ill conceived (although very heavily detailed) battle against Omega. I read your numerous updates on the topic with the same morbid curiosity that makes one crane his neck to see a car accident. When Omega removed Brosnan from the site, you proudly took credit. When the Bond page came down, it was all about you. Upon receipt of a personal apology from Omega (it's interesting what a global corporation will do to appease an extremely vocal, obsessive individual...what's this warning on my coffee cup?!), you wasted no time in scanning and posting this private correspondence like a trophy, to various fora.
Now, as you've procured a photo someone else took, you choose to take it and rub in into the faces of other, less interested parties, who actually had the gall to enjoy speculating on what watch it might be.
I can only guess why the tone of this (final?) announcement seems a bit brash. When your expected response fell a bit flat, and you found that this was a cause for you and you alone, you became upset. It may have confused you that, while this cause seems so important to you, you're not receiving the heaps of positive feedback, only curious "clicks."
I really hate to ruffle feathers, and I'm loath to give unsolicited advice but, in my experience, people respond much more favorably to a little modesty.
