When one considers what the outcome of that day COULD have been, with a group of children witnessing the death of one of their classmates, and the permanent, crippling memory of the event that would have haunted that child's family for the rest of their life, what your son did was truly magnificent. For a fifth grader to pick up that information on his own, and then have the courage to step forward and properly use it during a full-on crisis situation is absolutely incredible. I hate to say this, but I'm getting a little misty eyed here at the keyboard.
Would somebody please sew the buttons back on Keith's shirt in the meantime, please??
