POLL--Do you baby your watches or wear them as the TOOL they are meant to be?

Even I am wondering if I want to torture my watch like that but in 5 years it will be sent off and will come back as NEW.So why not have some memories with the wife, kids, and Planet Ocean? I could easily take the Seiko 007j or Seiko Monster but I won't enjoy seeing it in the vacation pictures as much.
Before I sold my Rolex Sub I beat that sucker for YEARS and sold it 8 years later almost breaking even!!!
What do you all think?
