Mick, there's MUCH more to it than saving a couple of bucks. As the others have already covered, you get the confidence and security that your watch is genuine, possess correct papers and serial numbers, and (correct me if I'm wrong, I think I read this somewhere...) the previledge to order COSC paperwork of your watch for free. All of this actually increases the value of your watch, which may be of importance if you want to resell it. But more importantly, AD purchases buy you a relationship with a person that is knowledgable, competent and wants you to be happy. Competing against large chain stores like "Authentic"watches.com means that AD's can't afford to piss any customers off. Keep this in mind: you're not only buying a watch, you're buying a relationship, and needless to say, I definately wouldn't want a realtionship with gray markets.
