Re: For Clarification....

Though I agree with John 100% on purchasing a watch from an AD, I also understand the money thing, as I am currently saving to purchase a Bond style GMT (2535.80). My current watch is a 2531.80 Bond SMP and the first one I bought was from a Gray market dealer (SAM's) but then upon reading posts here and asking questions at SAM's club when the watch was running fast, I found out that SAM's club would ship it to their jewelry center to be fixed...in my mind, if it is not fixed by Omega, then the watch becomes "franken" as I would have no idea what they would have done to it. And to send it to Omega would have cost me $300 out of pocket with no AD warranty, so I would have spent about $200 more than i I had purchased from John's AD. So I returned the watch and ordered it from an AD.

Now all the people here are saying it is better to purchase from an AD and I agree with that philosophy, but I also think it is ok for people to make their own decisions.
So...to each their own.
Hopefully there are no hard feelings here, based on the previous posts...Mick I enjoy the enthusiasm (sp?) for your Planet Ocean and I loved the pictures you posted and I hope you will take a camera with you on your trip and take some pictures of your Planet Ocean in the sand and Ocean and then post them for us to enjoy...after all, now I am thinking I will have to purchase a PO down the line!
