The pivots can be repaced or rather, if wear is detected whilst a service is done, the gears, to which the axles/pivots are fixed, will be replaced as part of the service. The jewels never wear, so it will only be the gears that need to be replaced. But, I can assure you, it will take a long,long time before wear gets so bad. Enjoy your watch, it IS the best!!!
