A Question of Navigation.....

Hello fellow Chronocentric members,

I have a navigation question for you guys.

Here's the question:
Can you find North by using the hands of your watch?

I think I read this awhile back sometime and would want to know if it's true:

North is located in the 12 O'clock direction if you point the hour hand directly at the sun.

Of course, I know that this will only work to a certain degree and really depends on the location and season that is present, but does it generally portray North???
