Hello all!
I've been lurking here for some time. Since I was a kid, I wanted an Omega. I'm going to turn 30 this year, and to mark that occasion I plan on purchasing an Omega (Looking mainly at PO, SMP, and GMTs). I would say my favorites through research and photos online were the White GMT, the Chronograph SMP with a white face, and the Orange PO (though I might purchase a black bezel).
I went yesterday to a local AD and had a great discussion about Omega. To my surprise, I fell in love with the Bond SMP watch, the one I did not think I would want, based on the nice soft slate blue color (it's much more subdued in person than the pictures indicate). I think it will pass as dressy, but also have a distinct adventure personality that I like to project.
However, the retail price seemed very high, and before purchasing there I at least wanted to compare my options. The guy was so nice I'm likely to go back and see if there is any haggle room, but I'm trying to gather some information about what's out there. I've read about some of the great AD referals here, and was hoping to take advantage of that resource.
