What was it, six or seven years ago when this model was introduced? Back in the day when the speedy style bracelet was only available outside the U.S.
Anyway, I wandered into my favorite authorized dealer and spotted the 2254.50. I thought then, and still do actually, that it's the best looking wristwatch I'd ever seen.
I had to have it, period! The list price was $2,600 Canadian and at the time, I was wearing a Seiko Kinetic Sport 200 that was about $600.00 Dropping that kind of coin on a watch did not seem crazy to me, although my wife was somewhat 'floored'.
Point is, I still have it and have no intentions whatsoever of parting with it. It was my first Omega, and first *big* purchase before all hell broke loose! :-)
