We had a debate on this sometime back, and no hard evidence was produced on corrosion resistance one way or the other. There is a substantial weight difference that you can feel with a Ti Seamaster, and the bezel on the Ti model is Ti with engraved numerals sunk into the metal. SS models have aluminum bezels with raised numbers that can get scratched. The other big difference is rarity, and you'll probably run across 100 SS Omegas for every Ti one you see. The oxide layer on the Ti also is quite hard, which helps protect it to some extent against scratching, and the oxide will re-form over the scratch later.
I have a 25' sailboat in Minnesota and a 46' in St. Thomas, and the Ti 2293.50 was my choice. It seems to absorb all the abuse I put it through with no problem.
