You took my post out of context. It was not a post comparing the SMP against a Rolex. It was a response to the ETA2892s and 3100s being sold posted by 'akula'. The original response was like this:

Probably cheaper if you buy in bulk. So think about this... All those Tags, Breitlings (2842), and Omega SMPs can be easily be fixed by buying a new movement.
The Rolex movement has a lot of nice things like Breguet overcoil to maintain consistency if the watch is underwound or overwound. It also has KIF shock absorbers..

I wasn't being condenscending. Merely stating a fact that you can easily replace a 2892 cheaply instead of fixing your watch. This is true. I've seen a Tag Heuer fixed this way.
BTW, I own several Omegas.
Lastly, a watch is more than just a movement.. It has a case, a dial, and a bracelet.
