: Since the new Co-Axial Bond will have applied
: markers and logo, I was wondering if anyone
: thinks they will add a applied logo to the
: Bond GMT (2535.80)?
: I know I would pay $50 to $100 just for the
: applied logo (since it already has the
: applied markers). For some reason the watch
: would seem that much nicer to me, and $100
: more over the rest of my life would be a
: minal expense for the satisfaction of that
: applied logo. I am curious to hear what
: everyone thinks, especially Joey, since I
: know this is his dream watch.
: As the Bond GMT is the watch i am currently
: saving for, I would love to see this minor
: addition beofre I bought it (which is still
: aways off).
I agree that the applied logo adds a touch of class to the watch. If Omega decides to upgrade their entire line of "Bond style" watches, then this is certainly possible. The only reason I suspect they might NOT do it is because the GMT was only released in late 2004, so it is a fairly new model that Omega may not want to update just yet.
This also raises the question of whether the Bond chronograph is due for an upgrade. Will they add the applied markers and logo to it? Will they upgrade it with the co-axial 3313 movement in the new PO chronos (and thus raise the price substantially)? Will they try to keep costs down by creating a co-axial version of the Valjoux 7750-based movement already in it?
