Hello All,
Looking for advice (and education) for a Speedy purchase. I've owned a Rolex Sub Date for 20+ years and been super happy with it - it's been off my wrist perhaps 12 hours in all that time. But I've always lusted after a Speedy as well and in the past few days the urge to pick one up has become overwhelming My previous experience has been exclusively with the "moonwatch" as a good friend owned one for years. But I'm also considering the possibility of a Speedy Auto since I do like autos, but am a little concerned by the smaller case size. I'm considering an online purchase but, sighr unseen, having second thoughts. Although I do love the classic black / black I admit my head is also turned by the SS Bezel Autos. Last but not least I'm also drawn to the classy looks of a used Day/Date in silver/silver/silver but again having a hard time deciding.
Any advice, comments, and in particular links to reference etc. would be most appreciated. I would like to educate myself before jumping into these waters. I am also considering the possibility of a Vintage speedy Pro - 1967 was the year I was born so I would definitely find an excuse to consider one of this vintage but definitely need to be fully up on details before I consider that kind of purchase.
