I think most of us are interested in "machines" of some type. Boats, trains, planes etc etc.
Usually when I see something mechanical, ( regardless of what it is ), the first thing that goes through my head is "how does THAT work ?" or "why did the designer/engineer doe that"
If my mind wasn't like that, a watch, a vintage mechanical watch, would have no interest for me.
I have the time on my PC, handy, car, pda, TV, radio etc etc etc.
I know it's stupid, but I feel naked if I leave the house without a watch.
