In Response To: Re: Omega Resale Value ()

Far before the hayek eta era, Omega was known for the accuracy of its watches alongwith the exceptionnal quality of their movements and was holder of many records of precisions at chronometric competitions. Rolex was known to be the first watch cosced in 1908 with an a+ observatory certificate from Kew Teddington observatory which means that their watch had the highest accuracy available at that time,23 years later rolex built the first selfwinding chronomlter which was fully waterproof and has 20 years ahead its competitors.
Eta are relatively cheap movements but they are far to be of the same quality than the older Omega movements.I will always value an Omega 1010/1011/1012 over an eta 2892a2. Lemania is another story it is a prestige movement manufacturer well known for its fabulous chrono movements as well as minute repeaters and tourbillon movements, Lemania was a part from Omega history from 1932 till 1985 when it belang to Omega and Tissot under the SSIH umbrella.I am first judging the watch according to its movement. But the approach is different for other people. The only chevy that had a cosworth engine was the chevy cosworth vega from year 1975 besides that cosworth belongs to ford.
