I Think This Confirms It Is The NEW Bond SMP...
In Response To: Bong Poster Closeups ()

: I am the General Manager of a Movie theatre up
: in Whistler, B.C. (Canada) and we just
: received the new Bond Posters last Thursday.
: I thought that I'd take some closeup shots
: of the Omega itself (close enough that you
: can see the pixels in the poster) in order
: to clarify which model we're looking at.

: I'll ofcourse abdicate to the experts here, but
: it seems to me that this looks like the GMT.
: It appears to have metal rings around the
: markers, as opposed to the older applied
: markers. There does seem to be that metalic
: shine in the flash reflection. But again,
: I'm sure someone with a grander scale of
: knowledge will be able to analyse these
: better. You'll forgive the bluriness of the
: pictures, as the watch is out of focus in
: the poster itself; don't blame my failings
: as a photographer ;-)

I can tell right away that it isn't the GMT since too much of the crown is exposed. Also, the new co-axial Bond GMT does have the applied (metal encased) markers and longer hands. The hands in this photo appear to correspond in length to those on the new co-axial Bond SMP. In looking at my own Bond SMP, this model's hands are definitely longer.

So, with longer hands, applied markers, and the crown exposure, I'm about 99.9% certain that this is the new co-axial SMP. This would also make sense since this watch is expected to be in stores by the time the movie hits theaters.

Thank you for these incredible blown-up shots, Sean. They have helped identify his "other" new watch (the Planet Ocean has already been seen).

You have to give credit to Omega. These two watches combined will retail for well over $6000, so they know how to market their products to the true Bond enthusiasts.
