No sapphire caseback, huh? I don't understand why they put it on the Bond GMT but won't add it to the new SMP. Both are 300M diver's watches that have nearly identical looks.
The applied markers are the same ones that are on the existing Bond GMT, and I personally like them. I know that they do seem to copy the Rolex markers, but I think they give the watch a touch of sophistication. Some people like them, some don't.
Oh well, I don't plan to buy one soon anyway, since it looks too much like my 2531.80. In fact, from a distance, you wouldn't be able to tell the two watches apart. They only differ by the "hardware" concealed inside and by some minor differences in the dial and hands.
