Obvious reasons is that it is just not the same...

The Professional version is the one that has been tested, tried, and true to its form and functions. The auto, to me, is if you want to put the Professional on a stand in your home for decorative purposes and wear the auto one for daily bang around type wear with out worrying about surface damage. I however, like to wear the professional. I have a triple date that just sits on my orbiter winder. I initially bought the triple date as a daily wearer but could not resist the professional these days...especially after the 30th anniversary of the lunar landing. Louis
