If you have a thing about your watches then you must have the sap version as this is less likely to mark. I've had a couple of the sap versions come in for repair and the watch just looks so much better with the sap glass. Plexi(hesalite) glass can be cleaned up and replaced but you have to remember that most shops can charge for this so it may be a false economy as your sapphire will out last the Plexi and you may only ever need one sapphire glass to so many plexi glasses. On service the glasses seal is replaced on the sapphire not the hole glass as in the plexi version
