: What nice ladies in Customer Services say and
: what the Terms and Conditions say are not
: necessarily the same! I was refused payment

: quoted to me, though luckily I had not been
: asked to sign anything when the watch was
: collected, so they couldn't hold the Terms
: and Conditions against me and they paid up
: in full!

: However that was a watch that was going to
: America and I accept that Special Delivery
: may be different. But I am far from certain
: as the Terms and Conditions seem to cover
: all such services without any exception for
: Special Delivery. When I have found out
: exactly what the position is, I'll put up a

: Sorry to still be a doubter - that's the

Aw....and she sounded such a nice lady too! LOL

Seriously though, I looked very hard for exemptions on the SD site and could find none apart from restricted substances which can be sent...I did query with "the nice lady" the exemptions on the Parcel "Farce" site and she stated that Parcel Force and Royal Mail are not the same organisation now, seperate companies and as such the exemptions on the Parcel Force site do not apply to SD....

As so far there seems to be no exemptions listed under the terma and conditions on the SD site I would argue with them that there are none, which is almost exactly what the nice lady stated to be the case. but if you find some please let us know...its a serious problem if thats the case!

best regards David
