No jerks, but... Posted By: Ron Scott Date: 6/4/06 16:36 GMT In Response To: Poll: What did you pay your AD for a Planet Ocean? (Ron Scott) Linking a specific dealer to a price isn't really fair to the dealer so I wouldn't do it. Agreed, that wouldn't be fair. But I am surprised that no one shares pricing in a forum that introduces itself by stating "Feel free to discuss pricing and specific dealers." Let me share... The last watch I purchased new from a dealer was my G4-40th Speedmaster, I paid about $2,000 on a $3,195 MSRP watch from a certain unnamed but well known AD on the eastern seaboard. I will be happy to share with you the contact information of said dealer via email, because, as we stated in the previous message it wouldn't be fair to publically link a specific dealer to a price, especially since that transaction occured 'bout a year ago... Could most posters on this forum be buying from a small number of ADs? When they buy new from AD's, yes, that would seem to be very likely. Tight knit club? No, not really, a referral is available from more than one source simply for the asking. Just wondering... Let it be known you're looking for an AD referral, and you'll likely soon have new mail. |
