i can't say 100% that the watch was fake, but i can say that Omega pays close attention to detail. so if i had to say i would say the watch was probably fake. i wasn't able to see the photo from work. the link you provided was blocked by a firewall. usually all forums are blocked too, but i am able to get into this one.
do not be discouraged with your first purchase. Omega makes quality watches. unfortunately some watch dealers who are not AD's will and do sell fakes. if i were you i would look to another watch from a reputable AD. i recently joined the Omega club two weeks ago with a purchase of 2594.52. and i must say this watch is one beautiful watch.
