Thanks for the advice, all. I trust that my Omega factory originals will endure, but was curious to know if there are qualitative differences in the marketplace. Can it be that the spring bars that come stock with a bargain brand watch found at one of the discount retail stores are the same as those from an Omega or Rolex? I certainly hope not. I suppose the best bet would be to procure them from a reputable high-end AD when and if the time comes.
