Thanks for citing me as the reference for the article but as I said in the OF I hijacked it off of another forum so while I wish I found it I merely stole someone's thunder...
and also with regards to Rolex and their movements, I would never say that they aren't accurate and reliable...I have never had a problem with any of my Rolex pieces in that regard....my issues lie with the finish work and quality control (mostly aesthetics) and also some aspects of their movement design (thin arbor which leads to damaged bridges and movement plate)..plus their head in the sand or no soup for you approach to vintage...personally one of the best watches they offer IMHO is the Price Date Chronograph by Tudor which features a 7750 movement as the watch is super durable, full featured with chrono and date, relatively limited in its distribution but mostly due to a lack in popularity by the masses, and since the movement is somewhat pedestrian one is guaranteed service by anyone and forever...
