You shouldn't... Here's what I said/cited...

Hey Chuck, I feel as if I am getting undue credit.

In Response To: A reminder, the topic IS co-ax service intervals… (Chicagoland Chuck Maddox)

Thanks for citing me as the reference for the article but as I said in the OF I hijacked it off of another forum so while I wish I found it I merely stole someone's thunder...

I think I said: Here is a case in point (Thanks to Matthew J for pointing this out in TZOF):”

Which I believe is correct. If I hadn't of seen your post on TZOF I wouldn't have been aware of the article nor been able to cite it...

and also with regards to Rolex and their movements, I would never say that they aren't accurate and reliable...

Well, I've related ancedotes from Rolex owner's who've said that in their experiences Rolex's aren't particularly good timekeepers. One of those owners is my cousin who's owned a Date-Just for around 20 years.

I have never had a problem with any of my Rolex pieces in that regard....my issues lie with the finish work and quality control (mostly aesthetics) and also some aspects of their movement design (thin arbor which leads to damaged bridges and movement plate)..plus their head in the sand or no soup for you approach to vintage...

And their Service system if I remember correctly.

personally one of the best watches they offer IMHO is the Price Date Chronograph by Tudor which features a 7750 movement as the watch is super durable, full featured with chrono and date, relatively limited in its distribution but mostly due to a lack in popularity by the masses, and since the movement is somewhat pedestrian one is guaranteed service by anyone and forever...

That and the fact that Tudor doesn't appear to be set up any longer for doing business in the Western Hemisphere:
As you probably remember I own a pair of Tudor Oysterdate Chronographs (Pre-Tiger's):

I mean I'd like to own a few Daytona's but I can't keep up with their skyrocketing values. I should have been buying them 20 years ago. So should we all have been.

oh well just hoping to add in my two as always.

Understood and thanks for stopping by!

should also add that from a price standpoint

the tudor is bearable when compared to others...which is very different from the Rolex branded products.

Yeah, I would have had a tough time justifying a 6263 at a $15,000-$18,000 pricepoint. I suspect they are going for much more these days.
