some points..

Hi Craig, Hi Guys,

I won't go through the points individually.

Yep the watches are mine. I've picked them up in the "bay" over a few years. I've never bought a new Omega ( yet ), but I guess however you could buy quite a few of my watches for the price of a single new watch.

I too get asked about Rolex. I may buy one oneday, but at the moment there as just too many cool Omegas that I'd still like in my collection. I'm not really bothered about other peoples opinions of what is on MY wrist.

I don't have limitless funds for my hobby, so I "pick & choose" the watches for my collection. Sure I've made "mistakes" & bought watches that I've sold quite quickly. ( I had an "Anakin" for about 2 weeks ).

I learned quite quickly to buy what I like & not what the market likes.

But to be honest, the watches that mean the most are the ones I've had to "wait" for ( either due to lack of funds, or finding the right one to buy ).

Of all my Omegas the ONLY ones that get comments ( from people/friends on the street ) are the PloProf ( because it is just such a "LUMP") & the Speedmaster Pro ( the moon watch ) it really IS amazing how many people recognise it.

Nobody has ever asked me if they are fakes, but I hear a lot of people getting asked about their Tag's or Rolex's.

Finally, I gave up a long time ago, worrying about what I can afford & what others can/can't

Sometimes it's more a question of priorities. I know people who "can't afford" a good watch, but smoke like chimneys or they have 3 holidays a year or have Cable TV & DVD recorder or drive cars that use plenty of fuel etc etc. It's more a question of priorities. They spend their money on what they want.

I also look at my hobby as ( If neccessary ) an investment. If needed, I'm sure I could sell most of my watches for more than I paid.

All the Best

Steve.
