Hi,
Ive been digging around this site for a couple of months now and wondered if anybody would mind answering a couple of questions for me regarding the Black Seamaster 300m (2254.50.00)
I intend buying this watch in the next couple of weeks ie until I am next in London (The Omega Boutique on Oxford St offers a reasonable discount for cash/ outright purchases and includes the 1st (3 /5year) service for free)
I have read a few posts on this site that suggest that Omega is set to change the Blue "bond" 300m to a coaxial movement in the very near future. I have not, as yet read anything that suggests they intend doing the same with the 2254.50.00.
Does anybody know whether or not there are plans in the pipeline to do the same with the 2254.50.00? I am torn between preferring the size and design of this model and being hesitant to purchase a watch that will soon be out of production.
A second somewhat unrelated question
I am travelling to Hong Kong in the next month or two and wonder whether or not it would be wise to wait until I got there to purchase my watch as it would no-doubt be cheaper - Does anybody know how much I could expect to pick up a 2254.50.00 there?
As a guide, The UK cost of this watch is £1200 but most retailers will offer at least a 10% discount for an outright purchase
(£1000 = $1827 USD)
