: I'm looking for information about a Ladie's
: Omega watch made in the 1970's. I need to
: identify the watch, so I can look to
: purchase one. This type of watch was stolen
: from my wife a number of years ago, and the
: watch discussion has come up at times. I'd
: like to surprise her with a replacement.
: The Omega Ladie's dress watch I'm interested in
: has a gold case, a black face, with only the
: 12:00 hash mark shown on the face. Because
: it is a dress watch, it is very thin, and
: the diameter of the face is small, probably
: below 16mm. The watch came with a black
: leather band.
: If you would want to check a watch of similar
: appearance, check www.worldofwatches.com,
: item #14022. This watch is similar in
: appearance except for the hour marks.
: The Omega watch that was stolen was well suited
: for my wife because of her small wrist. I'd
: like to find a replacement.
To find a watch that was made in the 1970's you could look on ebay to find such a vintage piece. Try typing in terms like "omega vintage ladies", "omega ladies deville", "omega ladies constellation", etc. You'll get some current models but also some vintage ones as well. I don't see anything in the current Omega catalog that looks like the watch your wife lost.
Here's a watch I found on ebay that looks similar to the one you described:
