In addition, nylon has one very key failing which would make me NEVER want to have a Seamaster with a nylon strap. While it might not look like it, nylon can absorb a fair amount of water, and when it does nylon webbing will INCREASE in length. As such, putting on a nylon watchband that fits perfectly at the beginning of the day might result in floppy watch syndrome due to perspiration, swimming, washing hands frequently, etc.
