If the battery has been in the watch for a long time and has leaked, there may be expensive repairs necessary. I hope not, though.
I am a mere Brit and I would pay my local watchmaker £5.00 to remove the old battery and put a new one in. Even with today's exchange rate, I think that works out at a bit less than $70.00, doesn't it !!!!!
Perhaps you should find another watch shop?
The "pressure test" may refer to checking whether the watch is waterproof. I never check this because I never let my watches near water! I come from a time when watch manufacturers hadn't thought of making them waterproof...
