SMP Planet Ocean date not changing

Hi,

I've had a SMP 2254:50 for about 2 years now without problem, anyway my brother recently got a Planet Ocean black/silver automatic watch.. over the past couple of days he's awoken with the date not having changed. The date isn't changing at midday, so it certainly isn't 12hrs out of synch.

Anyone come across this problem before? He wears it very regularly.. Perhaps the date gear isn't in synch with the time gear inside the watch.

Also, just a note, when he does actually change the date manually, the scale is very 'smoothe'. I say this, because on my SMP 2254.50, if I change the date it is a very definite 'change'. For example I move the dial and it changes over in one movement. In my bro's Planet Ocean the transition is very smoothe, so much so that I even sometimes have to wind back if it's gone too far -- my watch has date changes that seem a lot more incremental so to speak. Hope you get what I mean!!

Thanks to all.

Alex
