: I know I should already know this, but I don't
: know for sure. I bought this Omega at the
: local Jared's and somehow they didn't have
: the corresponding Omega certificate cards,
: there was some sore of mix up. The ones they
: gave me were for a different watch all
: together. They said that it was the right
: box according to the skew number, but
: somehow the cards must have got mixed up and
: that they would re-order them from Omega.
: So, I think this is a 2254.50.00 ... Is that
: right?
Yes, you do have model number 2254.50.00. The serial number will be an 8 digit number engraved on the back of the 7 o'clock lug. You may need a magnifying glass to read it.
Sam is absolutely right. Jared's is a large retail chain that is an Omega AD, so they should most certainly provide you with the proper documentation. When you spend this much money on a watch from an authorized retailer, they owe you that much. If you can, I'd advise you to take the watch back and tell them you want a "fresh" one with all proper boxes and papers. You don't know how long it will take them to get you replacement cards, so if they seem like they're giving you the run around, just return it for a new one.
