Not everyone is the same ( thankfully )

I'm married. I have no interest in shoes.

My wife is married ( to me... what a coincidence ! ) she has no interest in watches.

She doesn't try to awaken my interest in shoes & I never even tried with her & watches.

I work in a good job, I drive a nice company car. I work in a small firm with 11 employees. 3 of them don't wear watches. They consider them a complete waste of money. they sit infront of a PC all day, or a car dash, or have a clock hanging on the wall somewhere, or in the worst case their mobile phone also shows the time.

I look at my Omegas as a hobby. Nothing more & nothing less. They are not status symbols. I don't judge anyone by the watch they wear & don't try to impress anyone with the watch that I choose to wear.

I buy the watches that I like, that I will wear. I don't own a Planet Ocean or Aqua Terra etc etc.

IMHO, if anyone buys a watch to impress people, they will not succeed. The people they will manage to impress are the ones that I usually don't bother with.

So the bottom line is most people have no interest in our watches/hobby.

Buy what you like. Enjoy what you can afford.

That's just my appraoch to this hobby.

Steve
