I think we have all had this experience. I teach Aikido for a hobby. My Sensi had put his watch to one side and said do you mind if I put mine there. He said "I'll take it off you if its better than mine" with nose in the air. I just replied "It is". "I doubt it mines kenetic!" He said bragging about his Seiko thingy. I said " Mines an Omega". Thinking stupidy that it stop all arguement from any one with half a brain, but no he followed on. "Mine cost £400 and if you paid more than that your a prat". "Mine cost a grand" and I left it at that.
He now longer brags about his Seiko.
But anyone who know their watches knows. You see them glance down to your wrist and they don't have to say a word you know that they know.
I have a friend who thinks we're all quite mad buying our prestige brands when a timex would do, but that same person would think nothing about buying a sports car. So whats the difference?? Its your money so enjoy it! I love my Bond SMP more and more every day!
