Update from Omega.
In Response To: Motorcycle Vibrations...OK? ()

: Does anyone know if riding a motorcycle would
: be harmful to a SeaMaster Pro Chronometer
: (2254.50.00). Im concerned about the effect
: of vibration on the movement, and possibly
: premature wear. It's a pretty
: "buzzy" motorcycle so Im speaking
: mostly of high frequency vibrations...
: buzzes.

This came straight from Omega...

Dear Mr (name withheld),

We thank you for your e-mail and are sorry to keep you waiting so long.

The vibrations of a motorcycle will not harm the movement of your Omega watch.

All our Omega watches are submitted to the severe tests - one of them is to test the resistance to shocks.

Also, it is suggested to avoid thermal shocks.

They way I see it, If the Omega can't be part of my everyday life where I can enjoy it on a daily basis, then it doesn't deserve to be on my wrist anyway. Its comming riding with me whether it likes it or not!
