That is about all you can say having seen those pictures.
I remember the original thread where some suggestions were made that you sell the watch & cut your "loss", then look for a better example.
I'm glad you followed the advice to go the Bienne route. IMHO, for watches requiring major work & especially cosmetic work , it is the best way to go.
I have a Speedmaster MK III that I bought with water damage. I sent it to a watchmaker in Berlin, on the advice of a watch collector friend. I supplied a NOS dial & inner bezel. the watchmaker supplied the handset & crystal. he completely fixed the movement up ( I don't know how many new parts were used ). The end price was WAY more than Omega would have charged & didn't include any cosmetic work whatsoever.
It was an expensive lesson for me.
Now all we need to do is persuade Seismic Sam to get his MK II sent to Bienne :-)
