I currently own both the PO and the 2054.50(Bond bracelet). Since I got the PO back in January, I rarely wear the SMP. It has been reduced to a weekend wearer. Movement aside, it has a better finish on the dial, greater water resistance, and has a really great, solid feel. Is it worth the $1250 more, only you can make that decision. I was lucky enough to get a three month old Pristine PO second hand, for only about $450 more than what I paid for the SMP. I could not pass it up. I now would not part with it for double what I paid for it, and I personally think it is worth the extra $1250. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. The SMP itself is a great watch.
