Re: Looking for a Titanium/Gold 2296.80

Good luck!! I had that exact watch for three weeks a few years ago, and then it broke, looked like it might have been a gray market watch from an AD, and I got my money back after 4 agonizing months. I looked for that watch all over the country, and never found another one.

I DID find one last year June in the Duty-Free shop in the Munich airport, and it was brand new and a real 2296.80. Don't know if it's still there or not, or whether any more would be floating around in the duty free system.

In addition, I did find a discontinued 2298.80 (all Ti) at a watch shop in Gotenburg, Sweden on the same trip, so some of the old discontinued ones are floating around in Europe. In general, the slection of Omeags in Europe is WAAAYYY bigger than what gets to the United States.

After my three week stint with my 2296.80, I would up with a 2293.50, and am very satisfied with it. I would love to have a Ti SeMP with the Blue Geneve wave dial, but there were none left in the US.
